20 Different Colored Staples and Tutorial

This is how I made them....

First I make two dots like this...

Then I use the line tool and connect them with just a little bit of the dots showing
in the back....

Then I use the magic wand tool to "highlight" or select ALL of the pink....

So here it is with the pink highlighted...

Then I used the "BEVEL" option

Ta-Da!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi everybody! Well, I share a lot of etsy banners and there are A LOT of ways that you can add your shop name, etc. to them.... Even something as simple as the paint program that is already installed on your computer. There are numerous ones that you can download and everything too! However, for today, I will show you how to create one with Ipiccy  :) And of course, there are photos!

Go to Ipiccy.com

Click on Start editing....

CHOOSE YOUR BANNER

AND THEN HERE IT IS....

At the top, click on the little logo that looks like Blue Stacked Papers
Then click on TEXT

Then you can change the size, etc.

Just remember where you save it! :)

Hope this helps :)

My New Adventure with Goodsmiths....

Well, I signed up to be alerted when Goodsmith's was up and running and it finally came through. Then they were only accepting Dwolla, so I waited a little longer because they said they were waiting for PayPal to approve them. Well, PayPal finally came through and now I set up a little shop on Goodsmiths just to check it out... Let me tell you about my experience....

Well, So far I like it... Really easy to set up... And it's pretty much just like setting up on etsy... So I am pretty positive... Now I know computers make glitches, but here are the things that I had a little trouble with....

1. Import Tool....
Well, I had trouble with the import tool. I have at the time 192 items in my etsy shop. When I imported them to goodsmiths, only 98 were imported. However, that could also be because of the file that I downloaded from Etsy. You have to download a CSV file from etsy and then upload it to Goodsmiths....

2. Shipping....
Where as you can save your shipping profiles on etsy, you can't do so with Goodsmiths. And another drawback was that I can't offer combined shipping easily on Goodsmiths, which means I will have to go back and refund customers who purchase more than one item... That's kinda stinky. However, I am sure Goodsmith's is working on this (hoping) and since they are only in Beta mode with a "soft launch", they just haven't gotten there yet.

Here are a few awesome points...
1. It costs NOTHING to list on Goodsmiths... And it's only 2% if your item sells rather than 3.5% like others...

2. Easy and simple to list items...

Here's a screenshot of when I go to the Goodsmith's home page....

I definitely recommend it and think it's worth checking out....

And if you want to check it out, here's the link again.... https://www.goodsmiths.com
And if you want to see my shop on Goodsmiths, https://www.goodsmiths.com/sweetly-scrapped

I am going to change a few things on my appearance and fine tune it, but I thought I would try it first before I went all "crazy" designing and changing things (banners, etc).

Hope everyone is having an amazing Mother's Day too!!! XOXOXOOXO
I know I did!

How to add text to business cards, etc.

Well, I've been asked a few times on how to do this so I thought I would just go ahead and do a blog post. Now there are so many programs out there to alter images, etc. that I really didn't have the slightest clue which one to pick. Now, the one thing I do know is that everyone has paint. lol. Yup, that good ol' program that we used to play with when we were little and that little spraypaint was so cool! lol. However there are so many new programs to play with. Did you hear Picnik will be done and over with soon?! I never used it too much but I did like it when I did. Here's the BEST part..... all their premium features are free right now and until they close up shop. So you can do it there. Another program people use are Gimp, Paint.net and of course photoshop. However, I personally like stuff that's cheap or even free because it means more money for paper :) And I think I'm doing alright. I really suggest that you download paint.net. I LOVE it.

Anywhooooooooooooo here's the tutorial on how to add simple text to business cards using good ol' PAINT :)

You can find 100 designs HERE or by clicking the photo below....

1. Go and open your paint program. Like I said, it's the most basic editing program, but I have no clue what everyone has :)

2. Copy and paste the design you chose into paint. Simple so far :)

3. To add the text, simply click on the "a" and then click on your image where you want to add your text...

4. Go and open word now....

5. Crop your design in paint if you have to. Then you will copy the image and head off to word to paste it.

6. See my empty document... Now you're going to go and set up the page. You're really focusing on the columns at this point. You will want two.

7. See the columns there at the top!

8. Now I paste my design.... over and over and over till the page is full

9. Print. Ta-da!

If you have another program, you can adapt the concept of this to yours as well :)
The principles will be the same.

Here are a few more programs to check out....
